So I should have checked my email before writing all that about cards in the Official Spoiler. Here is some stuff not there, yet.
UGO.com has a new one. Shrewd Hatchling. A pretty serious little big guy for four mana.
Blogger, Geek Dad, on Wired.com got a card, Stillmoon Cavalier. I was expecting to see Zombies in Shadowmoor and we didn’t. Here’s one now. The Orb reports only 2 in Eventide. Beware Ichabod Crane.

Happy 4th of July.
We get a national holiday and Wizards spoils a bunch of cards. I posted the art on Light from Within earlier and here is the card in full. Will it find a place in Kithkin Mirrorweave decks? I’d run it although it boarders on a win more card. But imagine how killer it would be to have Light from Within on the table with Thistledown Liege in play, attacking with three flying spirit creature tokens, and turning them all into the liege. Ouch.
I poked some fun at the art on Spirit of the Hearth in an earlier post so I’ll give it a fair look now. Interesting protection creature. The only problem is there isn’t too much direct damage spells floating around right now. This would protect against discard and spells like Thoughtseize but your not going to have this out on turn one. This would be so much better if it were a smaller creature and cost less. I’d even give up flying to bring the cost down. So great art, not that exciting card.
First of all I love the all Liege cards. Creakwood Liege packs a powerful punch. Initially when I saw this artwork I was hoping for a bad ass Scarecrow, instead we got a guy who drops 3/3 worm creature tokens. Suck on that Wolf-Skull Shaman. I do see this finding a place in the B/G elf decks, the elves knew it was coming, they have great patience. Creakwood’s drawback is his power and toughness. He can fall to a number of nasties.
Now I’ve got to say U/R got the shaft on the Liege. Ya his abilities are awesome and he’s a 4/4 but a casting cost of 6 for the leige is a bit much. In today’s meta game things need to move fast. Now I was thinking that the Eventide Liege so far is a bit more serious than what we have seen in Shadowmoor. Any thoughs on that? Also will all the new Liege’s be Horror creatures?
Finally, I’m continually disappointed in the Scarecrow creatures. What a great new creature type. How interesting, how cool. How unexciting did these turn out to be. I guess everything can’t be super awesome in a set but I’m really sad to see this guy… So after walking away for a sec and coming back to this post I’ve had this new thought. I get what Wizards are doing with Scarecrows, they are solitary creatures each doing it’s own thing independently not a unit of straw warriors with a vengeance. Scarecrows are not slivers either and should function differently.
OK I’m not going to leave on that note so here is the other card everyone was talking about last night. Pretty cool. According to the Eventide Orb there are 21 instances of untap. I don’t know if that included the untap symbol or just the word.
Have a good holiday everyone and don’t light too much on fire.

Eventide continues to impress with a huge jaw dropping card today, Talara’s Battalion. The spoiler article is, The terrible Two-Drop, found on Magicthegaterhing.com’s Swimming with Sharks column.
I mean whoa. Is it just me or is green going to be deadly. Maybe this card was made to make green a little more relevant against faeries who short of counter or removal won’t be able to deal with this so early. I don’t know what to say other than wow.
Other cards of note:
Spitemare is like a more versatile stuffy doll.
I have always really liked Treefolk as a tribal group and I am really happy to see this card.

We don’t see many lions anymore in magic, but this guy sits on a house. Looks like a nice big flying avatar. My guess is it is mono blue creature with ability; Pay 4U: Blue Lion Avatar puts a house token on target group of creatures. They are grounded and cannot attack or block.
Check out the rest of the new art on Deathmarked.

Thanks to reader Duncan for the tip on the Eventide Prerelease promo card. It took me a second to make heads of the three abilities, but I am more than impressed with this card. What a great new set of abilities.

Eventide previews week kicks off today on Magic the Gathering.com. So to honor preview week here is a list collection of sites that you should be checking daily for the lastest new.
The Official Visual Spoiler
This spoiler is Wizards trickle of cards. As far as I know this is new as of Shadowmoor. Wizards has always spoiled cards before a prerelease, but now they have a page dedicated to all the spoiled cards.
If you want the latest spoilers from Wizards before they hit the visual spoiler you need to check the new articles every day, especially during preview week.
MTG Salvation’s spoiler page is to my knowledge the best and most complete spoiler site out there. As of this morning they have 84/180 cards printed in Eventide. This site also has a huge collection of podcasts, blogs, forums, etc.
If anyone has another source they want to share please pass along.

Eventide is upon us and the product images are here. This is one of the most exciting time is a new sets’ life cycle. Many people, including myself, are closely monitoring anything to do with Magic on the internet so we can get the latest and greatest.
So I want to know, and this can be an ongoing process, what are the most exciting Eventide cards to you. Free fake booster box of Eventide to the most enthusiastic comment.
Next is the Eventide symbol. I think this symbol makes a lot of sense. In fact all the symbols in the Lorywn-Shadowmoor Block make sense. My only concern is that it looks too much like Morningtide.
