Part of my Eventide exploration, here is my review of selected artifact cards, found on the full visual spoiler.

After Shadowmoor’s overwhelming amount of artifacts, especially with Scarecrows, they really cut back in eventide. There are only nine artifact cards six of which are scarecrows.

Leering Emblem
What an awesome equipment! First off is the ability that allows a creature to go from small to huge very quickly. Anytime you play any spell! While Leering Emblem is a touch of a win more card I could see this working really well on a number of creatures. Birds of Paradise is just one example.

Scarecrone
What an exciting card that really gives us a diverse amount of options for not only Scarecrows but other artifact creatures as well. I think this is an excellent card that can really get legs with some creative thinking. I’ve had a few suggestions with this guy on the scarecrow build that I have going and I can’t wait to try it out. The sac ability for cards is great especially because my current Scarecrow deck is slower than molasses. This will help speed things up as well as give a little bit of an advantage.

Ward of Bones
I really like the ability this artifact gives but wow does it cost a lot. By the time it hits the board things could be pretty dicy already.  It would be really something if you could get this out before turn four or five really shutting down an opponent. Because I’m not up on all the affinity cards out there I’m wondering if there is a way to build this into something were most of your creatures are in the 3-4 mana range so you don’t play more land than you need to. Maybe this could find its way into a burn or control deck. Might be fun to experiment with.
