Part of my Shadowmoor exploration, here is my review of selected red cards. Found on the full visual spoiler

Bloodmark Mentor
Solid ability for a two mana cost. A quick gatherer search turns up enchantments with the same static ability; Knighthood and a little better Fencer’s Magemark. The fact that this card is a creature makes it a little more vulnerable, but a late game drop with other creatures on the board could be a game changer. Awesome card in limited hands down.

Cragganwick Creamator
I like the Creamator because he can work well late game when you may have some bigger spells in your hand and need to deal direct damage. Also a 5/4 for 4 is good even if you do play on turn four and take out another creature in the process. This guy does have his drawbacks of random discard. Not good but I’m on the fence with this guy.

Elemental Mastery
Two reasons I like this card.

Considering the untap abilities in Shadowmoor, effects that allow you to tap for free are nice. Even though I thought they extreemly under developed that mechanic.

Second, the ability to put 1/1 guys out at will is killer. Next.

Hord of Boggarts
The cycle of color matters power and toughness creatures continues. Great art, great casting cost, excellent abilities.

Inescapable Brute
I love this guy mainly for the flavor. The aggressive arrogant aspect to this card is cool. Ya is casting cost sucks, but I love everything else about this guy. One bonus is that he is a warrior and there are ways in Lorwyn to play warriors for less, don’t forget about Obsidian Battle-Axe.

Power of Fire
Killer art here. I know I’m geeking on the art but this is the best set for art I’ve seen yet.

Again I think this card will be strong because of the tapping ability as well as insta ping.
